They know not what they do!

If we are BOLD enough to SPEAK out for JESUS we have to be BOLD enough to take the DARTS OF THE ENEMY. When we speak up for Jesus we are speaking to the lost soul and the DEMON that is HOLDING them captive.

The lost are hatin' because they are blinded to the fact that they are one with satan. Satan is ANGRY because he is intimidated that God is going to take those lost souls from HIm through our ministries. After all, the unsaved do much of Satan's work! KEEP on PREACHING AND TEACHING! God is glad and yes the enemy is EXTREMELY MAD! The more they hate on us the more grace God bestows upon us.

 Glory!!!!

THE HEART OF WORSHIP

THE HEART OF WORSHIP

Romans 6:13 – 13and do not go on (A)presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but (B)present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Luke   23And he said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Thought to Ponder on:  The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become-because he made us.  When we turn to Christ and give up ourselves to His personality, this is when we begin to have a real personality of our own.

The Heart of worship is SURRENDER.  Surrender is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the word submission.  It means to lose, and no one wants to be a loser.  In today’s competitive culture, we are taught to never give up, and never give in—so we do not hear much about surrendering.  If winning is everything, surrendering is unthinkable.  We would rather talk about winning, succeeding, overcoming, and conquering than yielding, submitting, obeying, and surrendering.  We need to understand that surrendering to God is the heart of worship.  It is the natural response to God’s amazing love and mercy.  We should give ourselves to him, not  out of fear or duty, but in love, because he first loved us.

1 John 4:9-10,19  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent  his only begotten son into the world, that we might love through him.  10 – Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to be the propitiation (sacrifice) for our sins.  19 – We love him because he first loved us.

Have you Fully surrendered Yourself to God?

Romans 12:1- I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service.

True worship happens only when we give ourselves completely to God.  There are three barriers that block our total surrender to God:  Fear, Pride and Confusion.  Fear can keep us from surrendering our lives to God, because we are not completely trusting him.

Can I trust God and does he really love me?

If we have no trust in God it will be very difficult to trust him.    And if we do not know Him how can we trust him?  The more that we know how much God loves us, the easier surrender becomes.

How do we know that God really loves us?

Psalms 145:9 –The Lord is good to all, and  his tender mercies are over all his works.

Psalms 139:3 – Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Matthew 10:30- The very hairs of your head are all numbered.

1 Tim 6:17-Trust in the living God who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

Jeremiah 29:11- For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Psalm 86:5 -  For thou Lord art  good, and ready to forgive,  and plenteous in mercy, unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalm 124:8 – Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth.

Romans 5:8 –But God commandeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners,  Christ died for us.

God has proven how much he loves us:  We are never out of his sight, he cares about every detail of our lives, he gives us the capacity to enjoy all kinds of pleasures, he has good plans for our lives, he forgives us and he is lovingly patient toward us.

The greatest expression of the love of God towards us was the sacrifice of his Son Jesus.  If we want to know
how much we matter to God, look at Christ with his arms outstretched on the cross, saying, I love you this much, I would rather die than live without you.

The lord is not a cruel slave driver forcing us to submit.  He is not a bully using brutal means to get us to surrender.  He does not try to break our will.  God woos us to himself so that we might offer ourselves freely to him,,  God is a lover and a liberator, and surrendering to him bring freedom, not bondage.    God is not a tyrant, but a savior, not a boss, but a brother, not a dictator but a friend.

Admitting our limitations

A second barrier to our total surrender is PRIDE.  We do not always like to admit that we are just creatures, and not in charge of everything.  The reason why it is so hard to completely surrender is because we as humans haven’t yet come to the end of ourselves!

Genesis 3:5-  For God doth know that in the day that you eat there of  then your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods knowing good and evil.

To be like God is one of the oldest temptations placed upon man.  To be like God is to strongly desire to HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL IN OUR LIVES.  Why do you think people are always seeking to BE OVER THE NEXT PERSON.  PEOPLE SEEK HIGH POSITIONS, RECOGNITION, PRAISES OF OTHERS, CAN’T STAND A U T H O R I TY.  WHY?  BECAUSE MAN WANTS TO BE LIKE GOD!  WHEN WE TRY TO BE LIKE GOD WE END UP LIKE SATAN – FULL OF EVIL PRIDE.

WHAT IT MEANS TO SURRENDER

Luke 5:4-5 – Now when he had left speaking he said unto Simon, Launch out into  the deep and let down your nets, for a draught.  5  Simon answered and said unto him,. Master, we have toiled all the night and have not taken nothing, nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

After a night of “failed fishing” Simon did not question the Lord, he surrendered his will to the will or the Lord.

Surrendered people obey God’s word, even if it doesn’t make sense.

Instead of trying Harder-Just Trust Harder

1.           Abraham followed God’s leading without knowing where it would take him.
2.              Hannah waited for God’s perfect timing without knowing when.
3.               Mary expected a miracle without knowing how.
4.         Joseph trusted God’s purpose without knowing why circumstances happened the way that they did.

These people were fully surrendered to God.  You can tell that you are surrendered to God when you rely on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, force your agenda, and control the situation.  You let go and let God work.  You do not have to always be in charge.

Psalm 37:7 Be still in the presence of the LORD,
and wait patiently for him to act.

The supreme example of Self-Surrender

St. Mark  - And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
Genuine Surrender against the intense warfare
The Lord was saying, Father if it is in your best interest to remove this suffering, please do so, but if it fulfills your purposed, that is what I want too.
Genuine surrender says,  Father if this problem, pain, sickness, or circumstance is needed to fulfill your purpose and glory in my life or in another’s please do not take it away.  This level of maturity does not come easy.  In Jesus case he agonized so much over God’s plan that he sweat drops of blood.
Surrender is hard work.  It is intense warfare against our self centered nature.
The blessing of surrender:

Romans 6:17-  But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed

Joshua -15- The Commander of the LORD's Army
13When Joshua was by , he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, "Are you for us, or for our adversaries?" 14And he said, "No; but I am the commander of the army of the LORD. Now I have come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, "What does my lord say to his servant?" 15And the commander of the LORD's army said to Joshua, "Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so.

Luke  38And Mary said, "Behold, I am the servant[a] of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

James 4:7- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

FEAR-ANXIETY AND WORRY

FEAR ANXIETY AND WORRY

Too stressed to rest. TOO nervous to socialize and to tense to relax.   Lord, help me.

THREE FRIENDS OF FEAR, ANXIETY AND WORRY ARE:
STRESS, TENSION AND NERVOUSNESS

"...Put your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore." (Psalm 131:1)
Also read: Psalm 139:1-23
The possible causes of anxiety and fear are many: Conflict, health problems, dangerous situations, death, unmet needs, spiritual problems, false beliefs, etc.

"According to the Bible, there is nothing wrong with realistically acknowledging and trying to deal with the identifiable problems of life. To ignore danger is fooling and wrong. But it is also wrong, as well as unhealthy, to be immobilized by excessive worry. Such worry must be committed to prayer to God, who can release us from paralyzing fear or anxiety, and free us to deal realistically with the needs and welfare both of others and of ourselves." (Dr. Gary R. Collins, Christian Counseling, p. 66.)
Some general, common sense suggestions for those weighed down with fear, anxiety or worry...

SIN IN YOUR LIFE - Sometimes fear and anxiety are the result of one's own sin and guilt. If you have committed a sin or done anything evil, your fear and anxiety is probably God and your own conscience trying to get your attention. You need to repent, confess your sin, seek God's forgiveness, and set it right.

SLEEP - Humans generally need 8 or 9 hours of sleep per day. Sleep deprivation can increase anxiety. Get enough rest. If you cannot sleep, you may need to seek God's help and perhaps that of a physician.

BE MORE REALISTIC - Many people are worried and anxious about events that will never actually will happen to them. Relax. Focus on today. Take life one day at a time.

LISTEN to relaxing, soothing music. There is some great Christian music available that can help you focus on God and leave your fears and worries behind. It may also help to listen to good Christian speakers and teachers.

FUN - If at all possible, do something that you enjoy. It is good to get some recreation on a regular basis. Take a break. Get your mind off your fears and worries, and have some fun.

TALK to someone. Don't hold all the anxiety inside. It can be a big relief to share your fears and worries with someone else -- a friend, relative, pastor or counselor. If fear and anxiety is an ongoing problem in your life, schedule a regular time each week to talk with someone.

TAKE ACTION - If there is something practical and wise that you can do to alleviate the problem or avoid needless danger, take action. Don't put it off. Procrastination will generally raise your anxiety level.

EXERCISE - Medical studies show that exercise can help lower anxiety. If you are healthy enough to exercise, try it. Regular brisk walks, running, swimming or other exercises can be a real stress reducer.

PROFESSIONAL HELP - There are various organizations which provide help for people with anxiety attacks, including the Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety (stresscenter.com) which provides self-help. You can search for information and assistance on the Web using keywords such as: anxiety, panic attacks, agoraphobia. You should be able to find local help by consulting you pastor or physician.
"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work" (2 Thes. 2:16-17).

THE HEAVENLY GUEST

Acts 2:4 – And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE INDWELLING AND THE FILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD IN THE LIFE OF ONE WHO HAS REPENTED FROM THEIR SINS AND ASKED CHRIST TO COME INTO THEIR LIFE?

Let me give you this illustration:

The holy spirit represents the heavenly guest. The host represents the repentive sinner. The house represents the life of the believer.

A guest is invited into a home. Upon entering that home he is immediately confined to a small room somewhere near the front door. For a while, he may even be forgotten by his host. Finally, the owner of the house is convicted concerning his shabby treatment of the house guest. He then gives his guest free access to every room in the house.

Point: To be indwelled with the holy spirit – the heavenly guest is confined in a small room somewhere, the room represents a segment of your life. To be filled with the holy spirit, the heavenly guest is given free access to the whole house. The whole house or whole person represents a surrendered life unto God for his will.

The filling of The Holy Spirit of God does not mean that the believer gets more of the Holy Spirit, but The Spirit gets more of the believer. Be filled with The Holy Spirit of God today by allowing him to direct your thoughts, actions and path.

REVELATION 3:20 BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK; IF ANY ONE HEAR MY VOICE AND OPEN THE DOOR I WILL COME INTO HIM AND WILL SUP WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME. JESUS IS KNOCKING AT THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART TODAY, WILL YOU LET HIM IN YOUR HOUSE TODAY

CONTINUE IN THE GOSPEL GRACE

Revelation  -Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Colossian  if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

Message: Continue in the Gospel faith

Don’t let your faith go shipwreck

1 Timonthy 1: 18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;  19Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:  Shipwreck faith- Faith ruined by a disobedient lifestyle

Don’t let your faith become UNFIT
Luke 9:62 Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the ." Galatian 5:7 You did run well, who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?

Don’t start something for the  if you are not seriously intending to establish it, settle it and continue it for the Glory of God.
Luke 16:10He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of your own?
Don’t let your faith become unseasoned
St. Matthew  - You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

The children of God are to be the Seasoning for the world.  Conversation-Seasoning  Lifestyle-Seasoning Home-Seasoning Outer Appearance-Seasoning Children-Seasoned

Don’t let your faith shrink

Hebrews 10:38-39   38 But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.

39-But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved.
Receive the Word with Faith and Progress or the negative prophecy shall come to pass in your life.

Hebrews 4:2 -  For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

They did not progress
They did not grow
They did not serve
They did not continue
They were tossed to and from by the wind
They DIED SPIRITUALLY

The Lord will perfect THAT which concerneth me.

Psalms 138:8 –The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me; thy mercy O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Thought:   The Lord will perfect THAT which concerneth me.

The word perfect means to be complete, whole, upright, plain, just, without fault or defect.

Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the everlasting covenant.   MAKE you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever.

II Timonthy 3:16-17 – ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.  That the man (person) of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 John 4:17-18 HEREIN is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, so are we in this world.  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath torment.  He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Note:  Our love for God is perfected when we learn to trust God and not fear the circumstances that confront us.  Fear – False evidences appearing real.
Those of us who are fearful need to be delivered so that we can trust God.

James 2:21-22 WAST not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect.

Works apart from faith are vain.  Faith with works  is acceptable with God.  Faith without works is just as good as works apart from faith – DEAD.

Ephesians 4:11-12 AND HE gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some, evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.  FOR the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

LIVING AN OBEDIENT LIFE OF PRAYER.

Luke 18:1 - And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint.

Message: Living An Obedient Life of Prayer

A definition of prayer-Prayer has been spoken of as being the very breath of spiritual life.  It is the believers spiritual contact with heaven.  No spiritual life can be maintained without it.  Prayer is the soul’s sincere desire, uttered or unexpressed.

Prayer is not an option or merely a priviledge-it is a command- Luke 18:1 - And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray and not to faint.

Prayerlessness can be counted as sin – 1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way.   To neglect prayer grieves the Lord – Isaiah 43:21-22   the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary (TIRED/IMPATIENT) of me, O Israel.

Ministers should be given to constant prayer/the word as Ministry – Acts 6:4 - But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.

The Order of prayer is
to the father  through the Son by the spirit. Ephesians  Now all of us can go to the Father through Christ by way of the one Holy Spirit.

The Time of Prayer
Daniel prayed three times a day, morning,  and evening - Daniel 6:10 - 10When Daniel knew that the king had written his name on this law, he went into his house where, in his upper room, he had windows open toward . There he got down on his knees three times each day, praying and giving thanks to his God, as he had done before.

We are encouraged to always have a prayer on our hearts – 1 Thess 5:17 - pray without ceasing.

Hindrances to Prayer

Known Sin – Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.   Regard – To approve.

Willful disobedience to God’s Word –Proverbs 28:9 One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Selfish Motivation – Matthew 6:5 - And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.

Hypocrite – Not Real-A Phoney.  Pretending to be super anointed and greatly appointed, but really a disappointment.  Disappoint -Not to be as good as one hoped or expected.

Lack of genuine faith –Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Unforgiving Spirit –Mark -26 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses
Idols in the Heart –Ezekiel 14:3 - Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity.  What ever we have made as a monument in our heart that causes us to stumble and sin is our personal Idol.

Discord in Home Relationships – 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
Failure to Render Charity to the Needy –Proverbs  Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor Will also cry himself and not be heard.

Robbing God in Tithes and Offering – Malachi 3:8-10 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me! But ye say, `Wherein have we robbed Thee?' In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse; for ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and put Me to the proof now herewith," saith the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open to you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?

WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?
 Frozen

Colossians 1:16 –For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers, all things were created by him, and for him.  (Thrones, dominions or principalities all represent authorities, influence or powers of others).

We were born with purpose and for His purpose. Isaiah 49: 5 – And now, saith the Lord that formed me from the womb to be his servant.  Because we did not create ourselves there is no way we can tell ourselves what we were created for.  Galatians - But when it pleased God who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace.  Only God knows the full reason for our existence.

Scriptures:

Colossian 1: 9 – That you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
Ecclesiastes – That which hath been is named already.  (Interpreptation- In God’s eyes everything about man has already been named, because our lives from the beginning to the end is laid out before God).

We need to let God use us for his purposes, and stop trying to use God for our purposes.

– He that loveth his live shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Loving your life- Living unto your own self and self purposes
Hating your life – Living unto God and subject to his will

John 15:7 – If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

Note:  God knows when we are praying selfish, watered down self-willed prayers He will answer our prayers accordingly.  If we live our lives according to his divine will our prayers will also be lined up with his word, and answered By his power.
How often are we praying only to use God for our self-directed purposes and will.  Are we praying that the purpose of God may be fulfilled in our lives?

If you want to know what your purpose in life is, ask God.

Job 14:5 – Our days are numbered with God
Job 12:10- God has authority over every living soul
Romans 8:6 –We cannot be carnal and fulfil the purpose of God, Romans 8:7-Because the carnal mind is enmity against God.
1 Cor 2:7 – The Word of God is the wisdom of God.

The Woman at the Well

T
Note:  There was something radically different about the Lord Jesus.  He treated women with respect. He treated them like they were people not property.

St. John 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ, when he is come, he will tell us all things.

The Woman at the Well informed Jesus that when The Christ would appear the people would listen to him.

St. John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

St. John 4:27 – And upon this came his disciples, and marveled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, what seekest thou?  Or, why talkest thou with her?

What man is this who takes time to speak to a woman?

The disciples did not question the Lord’s motives in speaking with this woman.

The disciples were surprised that Jesus would take time to speak with a woman. They were also surprised that he would speak with a Samaritan woman.  The Samaritan people were half Gentile and half Jewish.  Therefore the Jewish people despised them because they were not full blood Jewish.  The Samaritans were treated as inferior by the Jewish people, St. John 4:9. Imagine how the disciples felt when they eye witnessed Jesus speaking with      1. A woman.       2.  A Samaritan woman.

During this time men treated women as inferior and second-class citizens.

Encarta World Dictionary interpretation of inferior:

Lower in standing: lower or low in rank, standing, or degree
Not as good: lower in quality or value
Mediocre: failing to meet a standard of quality, ability, or achievement

The woman at the well did inquire of Jesus why he was speaking to her – a Samaritan womanSt. John 4:9.  Jesus did not take the time to explain why he spoke with her. An insignificant subject – (without importance: too small and unimportant to be relevant)  Jesus knew the prejudices of men.  However, Jesus was not like men, Isaiah 55:8,9. He being the Creator of man and woman came to make male and female one (through His Spirit)  in the church, Galatian 3:28.  His mission on earth was to impart the knowledge of God unto men and to become a sacrifice to save men and women from the wages of sin, Titus 2:14.

The Lord’s motive with the Samaritan woman was to enlighten her with the knowledge of who He represented and to stimulate her carnal mind concerning The Living Water that He offers to all thirsty souls.  The Living Water represents The Holy Spirit of God.  Jesus took her mind on a higher level and she rejoiced through her faith that He was The Christ.

St. John 4:28 – The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 – Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ.

The woman at the well ran off to witness of Christ.  She had not received The Holy Spirit at that time, but she had received a limited amount of knowledge spoken by The Word incarnate – Christ himself! St. Luke 24:31-32  The Holy Spirit was not given unto anyone as an abiding saviour until Christ had departed from earth and later sent The power of The Holy Spirit on The Day of Pentecost for all that would exemplify Faith in the Gospel, and remain with the believers forever. St. John 16:7, Hebrews 13:5, St. Matthew 28:20.

The Day of Pentecost – The birthday of The Christian Church because of The Coming of The Holy Spirit in the lives of the Christian believers.  Acts Chapter 1.
